Aim
To promote the benefits of higher education to :
- Level 3 learners in FE colleges
- Advanced apprentices
- Young apprentices
To highlight progression routes into HE and the range of options available in the region.

Description
The emphasis for the project officers in the coming year – 07/08 – will be on:
- Building upon current work and established networks
- offering information about vocational pathways into HE to:
- on programme Level 3 learners
- Advanced apprentices
- Employers
Sample Activities
- Working closely with training providers and employers to raise awareness and visibility of the HE option. This includes the dissemination of a Progression Toolkit for Advanced Apprentices
- Enhancing and promoting programme routes for those in employment, especially Level 3 apprentices
- Supporting taster sessions and sector specific conferences.
- Projects this year include a range of masterclasses in subject areas such as construction and engineering and tasters for subjects such as food and drink technology, health and social care and construction and engineering
